Philadelphia, Pa. – (5/3/2013) – Released today, May 17, three Griffins represented Chestnut Hill College on the
College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-District ® At-Large Teams. Senior
Maria Parapouras (Victoria, Australia), of the women's tennis team, junior attack
Kelly Campbell (Hatboro, Pa.), of the women's lacrosse team, and senior goalkeeper
Dakota Maurer (Lititz, Pa.), of the men's lacrosse team, all earned first-time recognition on the CoSIDA All-District At-Large Teams. All three now advance to the national ballot where they have the opportunity to be selected as a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American.
Posting a 22-4 singles record; 21-3 at number three, and an 18-9 doubles mark in her senior season, Parapouras continued a remarkable collegiate career that included a College-record 115 career wins (115-29, .799 combined), three All-CACC selections, a 2012 Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis Most Valuable Player (MVP) title, and a 2013 Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis Coach's Award. As the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region's #19 individual competitor and #4 doubles partner, Parapouras was the College's first women's tennis player to reach 100 career wins doing so with a 3-6, 7-5, 10-5, number three singles victory over Florida Institute of Technology's (FIT) freshman Chloe Chanley (Louisville, Ky.) on February 23. Academically, Parapouras graduated from Chestnut Hill College Departmental Honors program, Cum Laude, with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is a multiple selection to the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2010-Fall 2012), the Chestnut Hill College Dean's List (Spring 2010 – Spring 2013), and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete (2011 and 2012).
Campbell totaled 17 goals and three assists for a 20-point junior season with the women's lacrosse team. She tied for fourth on the team in points while additionally contributing 29 ground balls, 11 draw controls, and ten caused turnovers to the Griffins 4-13 finish. Campbell was the 2012 Women's Lacrosse Coach's Award winner after supplying 18 points; 14 goals and four assists, 31 ground balls, 21 draw controls, and 16 caused turnovers as a sophomore. Involved with activities on campus, Campbell volunteered at the Chestnut Hill College Empty Bowl Dinners (2010-2013) and took part in a team service projects with Philabundance. She is a dedicated member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 61, while also earning several academic accolades and honors. Campbell is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Delta Epsilon Sigma, Kappa Delta Epsilon, Kappa Delta Epsilon for which she serves as Vice President, and she has been recognized for her academic prowess on the Chestnut Hill College Dean's List (Fall '10-Spring '13), the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2010 - Fall 2012), the Athletic Director's Association (ADA) Academic Achievers (2012), and the 2012 CACC Spring All-Academic Team. Campbell is a writer for the Chestnut Hill College Yearbook Committee (2011-2013) and recently received an invitation to the Chestnut Hill College Departmental Honors program.
A three-year captain, Maurer was an All-East Coast Conference (ECC) Honorable Mention after manning the net during the Griffins 7-6 season. The Griffins received votes in the final United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II National Rankings behind Maurer's leadership and performance between the pipes. He ranked 4
th in the ECC for saves (151); 9th in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) DII, 6th in save percentage (.551); 19th in NCAA DII, and 6th in GAA (10.11 GAA). Maurer additionally collected 16 ground balls and caused 2 turnovers in 730:08 minutes. He was a two-time mention on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll (3/5 and 5/1) and the ECC Goalkeeper of the Week on April 15, 2013. He earned the Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse Coach's Award in 2013 and 2012, and he was the named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2011. Academically, Maurer is a member of the Chestnut Hill College Dean's List (Fall 2011- Spring 2012) and the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2012, Spring 2012, Fall 2011).

Joseph Crane (Churchville, Pa.) were named to their respective CoSIDA Academic All-District teams. In order to be selected by CoSIDA, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.5 GPA while performing at an exceptional level athletically.
Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.
