Morris and Waleski Earn Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll

Aaron Morris (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished second (4:14.57) in the 1,500-Meter earning eight of the Griffins 20 points that contributed to their 12
th place in a 15-team field at Elizabethtown University' Blue Jay Tune Up (4/27/2019) to earn him a spot on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll for the week of April 29th. While on the women’s side senior
Erica Waleski (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) also earned an honor roll mention for her efforts recording a second place finish in the 800-Meter and scoring eight of Chestnut Hill College’s 13 points (10
th of 14 team).
Along with Morris’ eight points, seniors
Alex Nicolas (Langhorne, Pa.) and
Raevon Floyd-Bennett (Union City, N.J.), and sophomore
Matthew Williams (Somers Point, N.J.) provided the rest of the Scarlet and Gold points with their respective efforts in the Discus (5
th, 36.90, 4 points), 800-Meter (4
th, 2:03.53), and 400-Meter (6
th, 57.14, 3 points).
Chestnut Hill College also enjoyed solid field performances from seniors
Laura Lupin (Danielsville, Pa.) and
Samaria Turner(Coatesville, Pa.), who competed in the Javelin, Shot Put, and Discus events. Lupin placed 11
th in the Javelin with a throw of 27.93 meters. Meanwhile, Turner threw the Discus 24.37 meters to place 13
th in the event. Both competed in the Shot Put; Turner placed 13
th with a throw of 9.10 meters, while Lupin placed 17
th with a throw of 8.25 meters.
