The Chestnut Hill College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is an organization of student-athlete leaders that serves as a liaison between the student-athlete community and the athletics administration. In conjunction with the
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) SAAC and the
National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) SAAC, the Chestnut Hill College SAACÂ helps promote NCAA rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athlete lives at various member institutions. It intends to enhance the student-athlete experience by identifying service opportunities, sponsoring social and community events, and encouraging student-athletes to support on another in competition and life. The Chestnut Hill College SAAC is a driving force that brings life and energy into the Chestnut Hill College Athletics community.
The Chestnut Hill College SAAC is comprised of at least two representatives from each of Chestnut Hill College’s 18 intercollegiate athletic programs and is run by the Executive Board. Members of the Chestnut Hill College SAAC meet monthly and are required to take information back to their teams, as well as, promote their teammates' participation in various events.
Goals of CHC SAAC:
•       Promote communication between athletics administration and student-athletes.   Â
•       Disseminate information about athletics competitions and SAAC events to fellow student-athletes and to the campus community.
•       Provide feedback and insight into athletics department issues.   Â
•       Generate a student-athlete voice within the campus athletics department formulation of policies.   Â
•       Build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletics teams
•       Engage the campus community and greater community surrounding campus in Athletics’ events .   Â
•       Solicit student-athlete responses to proposed conference and NCAA legislation.   Â
•       Organize community service efforts.   Â
•       Create a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide committees (e.g., student government).   Â
•       Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus.
