Athletics Department MissionĀ 

The Chestnut Hill College athletic programs are an ideal complement to the students' academic experience. Chestnut Hill College offers opportunities to achieve athletic and personal goals through intercollegiate athletics, recreation and intramural sports. Chestnut Hill College emphasizes participation, growth, and a commitment to excellence at every level. Athletics at Chestnut Hill College are demanding and challenging, however they are, first and foremost, designed to teach students the importance of teamwork, discipline, respect, commitment, and sportsmanship. Ā These values support the mission of the College, promoting the importance of a holistic experience in developing student-athletes who possess strong character and strive to enhance their educational experience through not only competition but their involvement as good citizens and leaders in the community.

As a member of the NCAA Division II, student-athletes at Chestnut Hill College are subject to the same policies, procedures, and criteria as non-athletes, with respect to such matters as admission standards, administration of financial aid, credit-granting, progress toward and achievement of academic degrees, and transfer. Chestnut Hill College operates in full compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA and of those athletic conferences to which the College belongs.

5267Our women's bowling team competesĀ as a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC), an NCAA DII league that includes: University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Daemen College in Amherst, New York, the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., Dowling College in Oakdale, New York, LIU Post in Brookville, New York, Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York, New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Old Westbury, New York, Queens College in Flushing, New York, Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York, and St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York.Ā Women’s Bowling is an NCAA "National Collegiate" sport in which a single national champion is named, with members of all three NCAA Divisions eligible.


5268As the ninth team to join the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL), Chestnut Hill College finds itself in good company alongside competing Ivy League institutions Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania; service schools including West Point and the Naval Academy; a pair of CACC rivals in Caldwell University and Post University; as well as Franklin Pierce University, and Mansfield University.
