First Place Finish Earns Fisher CACC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Award
New Haven, Conn. - (9/24/2019) – On Saturday, September 21, Scarlet and Gold senior Zigmund Fisher (Chadds Ford, Pa.) paced the men’s eight kilometer (8K) race at the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational, leading Chestnut Hill College to a third place finish (3rd of 6, 80 points) and earning himself the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award.
Fisher led the field by nearly a full minute with his time of 26:13.02 (1st). Senior Jake DiCello (Pottsville, Pa.) (9th, 27:17.58) and freshman Chris Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) (14th, 29:18.61) also finished in the top-15, while senior Alex Lynch (Manchester, N.J.) and freshman Terrance Cunnane (Glenside, Pa.) respectively placed 29th (31:45.15) and 39th (35:19.17). Host, Rowan University won both the men’s 8K (1st of 6, 25 points) as five of their men finished third through eighth.
