Runner of the Week Streak Ends, But Fisher Remains on CACC Men’s Cross Country Weekly Report
New Haven, Conn. - (10/21/2019) – Although his string of first place finishes and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week titles came to an end, senior Zigmund Fisher (Chadds Ford, Pa.) remained a presence on the league’s Weekly Men’s Cross Country Report as he garnered an Honor Roll mention with his fifth place run (25:59.7) at the Gettysburg College Invitational. His effort helped Chestnut Hill College to a 13th place finish (13th of 28, 405 points) in the event.
Chestnut Hill College completed their 2019 regular season with Saturday’s 13th place run (13th of 28, 405 points) at the Gettysburg College Invitational. Fisher was the first Griffin across the finish line as he placed fifth in the men's eight kilometer (8K) race with is time of 25:59.7. He was followed by six other Griffins, including fellow seniors Jake DiCello (Pottsville, Pa.), Aaron Morris (Philadelphia, Pa.) who respectively placed 79th (28:58.6) and 89th (29:14.4). Freshman Chris Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) crossed 108th (30:09.7) and senior Alex Lynch (Manchester, N.J.) ran 125th (30:42.2) to account for Chestnut Hill College's final two scoring times. Additionally, senior Jonathan Boc (Jersey City, N.J.) placed 136th (32:06.0) and freshman John Munroe (Narberth, Pa.) placed 165th (36:21.7).
