Byxbee Makes Second CACC Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll Appearance  
 
New Haven, Conn. - (11/11/2019) –
Senior outside hitter Reily Byxbee (Madison, Conn.) made her second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll appearance of the season with a team-high 29.5 points (25 kills, 3 aces, 3 block assists) in a 1-2 week of league play. Byxbee totaled 25 kills on a .239 (25K-9E-67TA) hitting percentage and additionally recorded six assists, three aces, 26 digs, and three block assists in the three matches. Her best performance was an 11-point effort (10 kills, 1 ace) in the Griffins’ 3-0 loss at Holy Family University on Thursday, November 7.
 
Chestnut Hill College (13-13, 10-8) dropped its CACC matchup on Tuesday (November 5) night against Wilmington University, 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 26-24). The Griffins battled, even staving off a match point in the third set, but could not force a comeback against the Wildcats. Byxbee led Chestnut Hill College with nine kills, three assists, an ace, 10 digs, and a block assist.
 
Entering the final stretch of the regular season, Chestnut Hill College visited local CACC South Division rival Holy Family University for Thursday (November 7) evening’s competition. Unfortunately, the Tigers performed well on their home court, hitting .375 (42K-9E-88TA) and locating 10 aces in the process of defeating the Griffins in three sets; 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-18). Byxbee led the Griffins in points, totaling 11 with 10 kills on a .258 (10K-2E-31TA) hitting percentage and one of the Scarlet and Gold’s three aces.
 
Chestnut Hill College finished off its 2019 home slate with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-12) win over Dominican College on Saturday (November 9) afternoon. The seniors did not disappoint on Senior Day, with right side hitter Mykayla Milchling (Baltimore, Md.), Cassie Callahan (St. Louis, Mo.), and Byxbee each hitting higher than .380, and libero Janie Green (Hayes, Va.) producing four service aces. Milchling and Byxbee were the Chestnut Hill College team leaders with respective .500 (2K-0E-4TA) and .400 (7K-1E-15TA) hitting percentages. Byxbee finished the affair with seven kills, two assists, an ace, two block assists, and a team-high eight digs.
