Comas Collects Honorable Mention

Dan Comas (Philadelphia, PA) had an outstanding start to his senior season, averaging 21.8 points-per-game (PPG) over the Griffins first four contests. He hit 32-of-47 (.681) from the field and 23-of-37 (.622) from the free throw line while also grabbing 8.0 rebounds-per-game (RPG) to earn an honorable mention for the CACC Player of the Week award.
Comas opened the season with 24 points and six rebounds in Chestnut Hill College’s (3-1) first game at the Disney Tip-Off West Coast Classic, a 102-74 loss against University of California – San Diego on Friday, November 4. He helped the Griffins to wins in their next two contests, totaling 13 points, nine rebounds, and two steals against Dominican University (CA) on Saturday, November 5, and 21 points, seven rebounds, and a block against Western Washington University on Sunday, November 6. For his efforts, Comas was recognized as an All-Tournament performer. He finished the opening week of competition with his first double-double performance of the season, 29 points and ten rebounds, at the New York Institute Of Technology on Sunday, November 13. In the 21-point win over the Bears, Comas was efficient, hitting 13-of-15 (86.7%) from the field and 3-of-5 (60.0%) from the charity stripe. He is currently at 979 career points, needing only 21 to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
