Comas Collects Second CACC Honorable Mention

Dan Comas (Philadelphia, PA) had his strongest week since the opening of the season, averaging 16.0 points-per-game (PPG) and 10.7 rebounds-per-game (RPG) to lead Chestnut Hill College in a 1-2 week. For his efforts, Comas was rewarded with his second honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) CACC Player of the Week award. Comas recorded two double-doubles in three contests including 21 points, 12 rebounds, a block and five steals in the Griffins 69-67 win over Wilmington University on Thursday, February 9.
Two days after a crushing 65-58 loss at Philadelphia University on Tuesday, February 7, Chestnut Hill College (17-9, 10-4) came back from a 16-point halftime deficit, 39-23, to defeat Wilmington University, 69-67. Comas was the linchpin in the Griffin rally, offering his seventh double-double production of the season, 21 points and 12 rebounds, on a 7-of-12 (58.3%) shooting performance and a 7-of-8 (87.5%) effort at the free throw line. Comas followed his double-double against the Wildcats with another against Post University on Saturday, February 11. Against the Eagles, Comas totaled 19 points and 15 rebounds while also leading the Griffins in assists with three. In that showing, he was 7-of-10 (70.0%) from the field and 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the free throw line.
Comas is averaging 14.1 PPG and 8.1 RPG this season, ranking fifth in the CACC for rebounding. He also ranks fourth in the CACC for field goal percentage (.547, 135-of-247) while also recording 26 assists, 19 blocks, and 29 steals. Comas was named an honorable mention for the CACC Player of the Week on November 14, after averaging 21.8 PPG over the Griffins first four contests.
