Mercy College Upset Earns Maurer
ECC Goalkeeper of the Week Title

Dakota Maurer (Lititz, PA) made ten saves and collected a ground ball while facing 34 shots in Chestnut Hill College’s 7-6 triple overtime win over #9 Mercy College on Saturday, February 25. For his effort, Maurer was recognized as the East Coast Conference’s (ECC) Goalkeeper of the Week.

Mike Duddy (Toms River, NJ) finally broke the stalemate with an unassisted game-winner a little more than a minute into the third overtime period (69:07), 7-6. He was one of three Griffins to record at least two goals in the contest, leading the Griffins victorious effort with two goals and five ground balls. Sophomore attack

Shane Morlock (Freeport, NY) contributed four ground balls and four faceoff wins (4-of-16, 25.0%). Maurer currently holds a 5.21 goals-against-average (GAA) and a .625 save percentage.
