Humes Honored As CACC Rookie of the Week

Mike Humes (Medford, NJ) earned recognition as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week. Humes also teamed for an 8-0 win at number two doubles in the Griffins 9-0 win over Post University on Friday, March 16.
Chestnut Hill College (4-5, 1-0) went 1-2 last week, earning their first win of the spring with a CACC victory over Post University. Humes had a hand in two of the points against the Eagles. After capturing an 8-0 win with sophomore
Manuel Ceniceros (Mexico City, Mexico) at number two doubles, Humes led-off the singles lineup with a 6-0, 6-1 win at number one singles. The Griffins did not fare as well in the following matches at Southern New Hampshire University, on Saturday, March 17, and Merrimack College on Sunday, March 18, but Humes picked up one more win, claiming number one singles from the Warriors 6-1, 6-4. Humes is 4-3 at number one singles and 5-3 overall as an individual this season. In doubles, he is 3-5, earning all three of his doubles wins with Ceniceros.
