Chosen by the Athletics Administration, Athletics Training staff, and Athletic Communications Coordinator, the Athletic Director's Award is given annually to a male and female student-athlete who best demonstrates dedication to the mission of the College and excels in their sport of choice. The recipients of this award embody what it means to be a Griffin; a majesty of two planes. This year's honorees were seniors; Donald Lynch III (Mullica Hill, N.J.) of the men's lacrosse team and Jessica Veazey (Middletown, Del.) of the women's soccer team.
 
While serving as key contributors to their athletic teams, Lynch and Veazey have also served the College as active and dedicated members of the community. Veazey was a four-year starting goalkeeper for the women's soccer team. She earned an All-CACC First Team selection as a sophomore, 2010, after leading the Griffins to a second place league finish and ranking among the conference's top five goalkeepers in saves (97, 5th), save percentage (.874, 3rd), goals-against-average (0.77, 2nd), and shutouts (5, T2nd). In 2011, Veazey earned a spot on the CACC All-Tournament Team and with another stellar season in 2012 she finished her collegiate career as the program's all-time leader in saves (441), wins (38), Losses (29), shutouts (14), and minutes (6,217). Outside athletics, Veazey is the creator and President of the Chestnut Hill College Photography Club, a Photography Editor of the school's paper "The Griffin", the President of Public Relations for The Association of the Performing Arts, a SEARCH Retreat Leader, and a dedicated member of several other campus club and initiatives including; Unified for Unifat, Japanese Club, Mask and Foil, CHC School Choir the “Hillsingers”, Campus Ministry, and the Alpha Lambta Delta Honor Society.
