Antall Run at Fordham Fiasco Earns Spot on CACC Honor Roll
New Haven, Conn. – (9/7/2013) – Leading a pride of Griffins that finished just past the 25-minute mark at the Fordham (University) Fiasco in Van Courtlandt Park, New York, New York, freshman
Paige Antall (Hanover Township, Pa.) represented Chestnut Hill College on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Report as an Honor Roll member.
Running a 22:30.95 in the women’s five-kilometer (5K) race, Antall’s 44th place finish paced the Griffin women to a 9
th place finish with 267 total points. Antall was trailed by sophomore
Samantha McCarthy (Woodstock, Ga.) and a pack of the Griffins that crossed around the 26
th-minute. McCarthy placed 94
th with a time of 25:30.92. Sophomore
Rachel Barnett (Schnecksville, Pa.) was next, just two runners later for 96
th place at 25:35.71. Freshman
Michaela Uttley (Douglasville, Pa.) ran 100
th, crossing at 25:52.33 and quickly followed by senior
Dana Klepadlo (Pittston, Pa.), 26:06.76,
Gina Davidson (Philadelphia, Pa.), 26:10.28, and freshman
Courtney Glennan (Sewell, N.J.), 26:11.31. The Warriors completed their sweep of the Fordham Fiasco with a win on the women’s side as well. Senior Kim Wernerspach (Neshanic Station, N.J.) won the 5k with a time of 19:05.81.
The cross country team competes next at the Philadelphia Metro Meet, which is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Fairmount Park on Saturday, September 21.
