Trabosh Repeats as CACC Defensive Player of the Week

Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) returned to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Volleyball Weekly Report as the league’s Defensive Player of the Week. Trabosh recorded at least 20 digs in the Griffins first four matches of the week, including 27 against Wilmington University and Glenville State College, while also providing two kills, seven assists, and five aces in a 1-4 week for Chestnut Hill College.
Despite taking the first set of their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and home opener, 25-22, Chestnut Hill College (1-7, 0-1) could not connect for their first win of the 2013 season against Wilmington University. The Wildcats withstood the raucous Sorgenti Arena crowd, who supported their Griffins till the bitter end of a 3-1 (25-22, 12-25, 17-25, 17-25) loss while Trabosh posted a team-high 27 digs. She went for 27 more in the Griffins first win of the season; a 3-2 (25-15, 25-14, 24-26, 21-25, 15-10) win over Glenville State College in their first match at the West Chester University Tournament. She totaled 22 more in a 3-1 (18-25, 28-26, 24-26, 18-25) loss to Assumption College and 20 more in a 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 17-25, 20-25) loss to Stonehill College, before being limited to just 13 digs in the Griffins 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) loss to the hosting Golden Rams.
The women's volleyball team returns to their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule with their next match coming on Tuesday, September 17, 7:00 p.m. at Goldey-Beacom College.
