DiGiovanni Remains on CACC Weekly Report With Honor Roll Recognition

Carly DiGiovanni (Seaville, N.J.), the Chestnut Hill College women’s soccer team earned a tie in their only competition of the week; a 1-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) stalemate at Felician College. For her part in the draw, DiGiovanni earned a mention on the league’s weekly Honor Roll.
On Saturday, September 21, Chestnut Hill College (1-3-1, 1-0-1) made efficient use of their limited scoring opportunities with DiGiovanni depositing an early second-half goal, at 63:54, on a steal and cross from senior forward
Kaelyn Pizarro (Berlin, N.J.), 1-0. The Griffins advantage held until 83:46, when Felician College (1-2-2, 0-2-2) managed to tie the affair on a rebound shot from sophomore midfielder Marissa Nieves (Brick, N.J.). With all things even the conference rivals battled for 26 more minutes, through regulation, and both overtimes, in the 1-1 tie. DiGiovanni is currently tied for the CACC lead in scoring with four goals in five contests.
The women’s soccer team will open a five-game home stand on Wednesday, September 25, when they welcome Georgian Court University for a 4:00 p.m. CACC contest.
