New Haven, Conn. – (9/30/2013) – Extending her streak of recognition to four weeks, freshman libero
Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) joined freshman outside hitter

Trabosh and McBride were two of the key factors in Chestnut Hill College’s (3-7, 1-1) 1-2 week against CACC opponents; Philadelphia University, Caldwell College, and Post University. On Tuesday, September 24, the Lady Rams looked to set the tone for the evening in the opening set, but the Griffins fought hard in front of the home crowd and slowed the Lady Rams to an unexpected 25-23 win, 1-0. The visitors were even more stunned after McBride powered the Griffins to back-to-back 25-14 wins in the second and third frames, 2-1. The Lady Rams managed to regain their composure and delay the match’s conclusion for one more frame with a 25-20 win in the fourth stanza, 2-2. Anxious to put the Lady Rams away in the deciding set, the Griffins captured a late 12-10 advantage before being forced into a timeout at 13-13. The score knotted again at 14-14 before settling in the Lady Rams favor, 16-14. McBride's 26 kills established new program records for the Griffins and she completed her impressive performance as her seventh double-double with 18 digs. Trabosh supplied 25 digs in the defeat.
With the entertaining support of Superhero Night behind them, Chestnut Hill College excited the home crowd by leading for the majority of a 26-24 opening set victory against Caldwell College on Friday, September 27. The Cougars recovered from the loss with the match's next two set-victories with wins of 25-20 and 25-16 in the second and third sets, respectively, 2-1. Determined to please, the Griffins extended the match to a decisive fifth set when they rallied from a 19-16 deficit to defeat the Cougars 25-23 in the fourth set, 2-2. In the deciding frame, Trabosh’s serve gave the Griffins a narrow edge, 2-1, but the set remained tight for the duration, and eventually concluded in the Cougars favor on a couple Griffin misplays, 15-12. McBride was the Griffins top scorer with 18 kills, three aces, and 16 digs, while Trabosh finished the evening with 31 digs and two assists.
In the victory over the Eagles, Chestnut Hill College came away with the lead on the back end of the first set before gradually extending their advantage through sophomore middle hitter
Rachel Biro (Nazareth, Pa.) and eventually took the set by a 25-16 final, 1-0. The Griffins took the second set by the same score, 25-16, this time with McBride hammering home the points, 2-0. The Eagles showed a little more fight in the third set with the lead changing hands six times and tying 17 times in a 25-21 Griffins win, 3-0. McBride finished second to Biro in kills with 11, while also recording an ace and 11 digs. Trabosh made 14 digs and offered two assists to the victory.
