Double-Doubles Drive Wildgoose’s Fourth CACC Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

New Haven, Conn. - (12/21/2015) – Another pair of double-doubles has landed freshman forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J.) on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Honor Roll. This week the Griffins rookie post averaged 16.3 points-per-game (PPG) and 11.7 rebounds-per-game (RPG) to lead Chestnut Hill College in a series of road games at league rival Wilmington University and at the College of St. Rose.

Outscored 359-178 in first halves this season, another slow start at Wilmington University left Chestnut Hill College (3-8) in a 41-25 halftime lurch for the conclusion of Wednesday evening’s CACC contest. It took all the resilience the Griffins could muster to reverse the 16-point lead, doing so early in the fourth quarter only to fatigue in a 70-64 league final. Wildgoose contributed her best collegiate performance to date with a dominating 23-point, 17-rebound effort that headlined 62 points of production from the Griffins' starting five.

Chestnut Hill College continued to battle an early-season road slate behind Wildgoose who recorded her fourth double-double of the season in Saturday's contest at the College of St. Rose Holiday Classic. Franklin Pierce College was two steps ahead of the Griffins on all fronts, owning a 48-36 rebounding advantage and a 42.9%-32.8% shooting edge to never trail in a 73-49 win. Wildgoose went for 13 points and 13 rebounds in her double-double performance. She was 6-of-14 (.429) from the floor and added a free throw (1-of-2, .500) while recording a block for the Griffins.

Junior forward Caity Kuhnen (Binghamton, N.Y.) finally found her shot, connecting on five three-point baskets in a 17-point performance that led Chestnut Hill College in Sunday’s challenge at the College of St. Rose Holiday Classic. Unfortunately, junior guard Taylor Nazon (Chicago, Ill.) was the star of the afternoon, hitting three, three-point baskets of her own while offering a double-double performance that guided the Golden Knights for 67-53 win over the Griffins. Wildgoose helped free up Kuhnen with 13 points, five rebounds, a block, and two steals,

The Chestnut Hill College women’s basketball team opens 2016 on Sunday, January 3, when they welcome Holy Family University to Sorgenti Arena for a 1:00 p.m. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest.
