Alexander Earns Third CACC Honorable Mention
 
New Haven, CT – (1/18/2011) – Averaging 16.5 points-per-game (PPG) and 5.5 rebounds-per-game in two games last week, sophomore forward Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, PA) was recognized with her third honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week award. Alexander led the Chestnut Hill College women’s basketball team to a 1-1 week, which included a 15-point win over Georgian Court University.
 
Alexander opened the week with a hard-fought 13 points and five rebounds in a 15-point loss to the University of the Sciences on Tuesday, January 11. Chestnut Hill College (4-10, 2-5) owned a narrow advantage at the break, 23-22, but a senior backcourt trio powered the Devils to victory. On Thursday, January 13, the Griffins flipped the script as Alexander powered the Griffins to a 77-52 win and season sweep at Georgian Court University. She was 8-of-12 (66.6%) from the field and 4-of-7 (.571) from the charity stripe. Alexander has surpassed the 20-point plateau four times this season. She is leading the Griffins in scoring (14.6 PPG) and steals (24), and she ranks second in rebounds (6.4 PRG). Among her CACC peers, Alexander ranks sixth in scoring and 19th in rebounding.
