Keimig and Leckonby Recognized on CACC Honor Roll  

New Haven, Conn. – (4/26/2016) – While Chestnut Hill College continued to stay undefeated in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play with wins over Nyack College and Caldwell University, senior midfielder Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) garnered her third CACC Honor Roll Mention while fellow midfielder, sophomore Hunter Leckonby (Charleston, S.C.), earned her first honor roll mention.
 
Chestnut Hill College remains perfect in the CACC after Tuesday's 20-4 triumph over Nyack College. Junior midfielder Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) scored her 100th collegiate goal at 13:01 in the first half courtesy of Keimig, who led the Scarlet and Gold with career highs in goals (6) and points (8) while additionally logging two assists, four groundballs, and three caused turnovers. O'Leary finished the contest with four goals, three assists, a groundball, and a game-high five draw controls. Keimig netted her six goals on just nine shots (6-of-9 .667) while O'Leary's seven points established a career-high for her. Leckonby added three ground balls, three draws, and a caused turnover to two points (a goal and an assist).

The longest winning streak in program history, by far, Saturday's ninth consecutive victory, 11-9 over Caldwell University was not short on drama. Junior midfielder Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) netted the game-winner on a free position shot with 1:37 (10-9) remaining. Perry, Keimig, and junior midfielder Lea Sanders (North Merrick, N.Y.) finished with two goals apiece while defensively, the Griffins limited the Cougars chances with ten caused turnovers and 22 ground balls. Of that, Leckonby and sophomore defenders Jaida Zabala (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Gillian Wixted (Philadelphia, Pa.) combined for seven ground balls, four draws, and four caused turnovers. In excess of their two-goal games, Perry, Keimig, and Sanders combined for six ground balls, three draws, and a caused turnover. Keimig also recorded two assists.
 
The Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse team is scheduled to visit currently undefeated CACC foe, Philadelphia University, for a 4:30 p.m. league game on Wednesday, April 27.
