O’Leary Lands on CACC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll
New Haven, Conn. - (3/27/2017) – Senior midfielder Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) totaled eight points (six goals and two assists), a ground ball, two draws, and a caused turnovers in Chestnut Hill College’s 1-1 week that included an 18-8 league-victory over Holy Family University. As a result, she was recognized with her second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll appearance. O’Leary also appeared on March 13 release after scoring twice in the Griffins’ 18-5 loss at #15 Lock Haven University.
While serving as the away team at Victory Field #1 on Monday, March 20, Chestnut Hill College broke into the win column, simultaneously earning their first CACC victory of the season, 18-8, over Holy Family University. After allowing the first goal of the contest, the Griffins launched a 7-3 run to halftime that separated them for the eventual 10-goal triumph. O’Leary was center stage in the Scarlet and Gold win with six points (five goals and one assist), a ground ball, and a caused turnover.
Chestnut Hill College resumed their season on Saturday, March 25, with a contest at #15 the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). The Bears defended their home field in a 21-7 final. Seven different Griffins recorded a goal apiece; three of them added an assist to their stat line. O’Leary was one of the. She also recorded a draw control.
