Play Versus Georgian Court University and STAC Garners Dambach the ECC Player of the Week Award

Central Islip, N.Y. – (4/17/2017) – Senior attack Alec Dambach (Howell, N.J.) racked up the points last week, totaling 16 (7 goals and 9 assists) in wins over Georgian Court University (W, 22-4 on 4/11) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (W, 17-4 on 4/15) to be named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Player of the Week. He first offered a Chestnut Hill College record and ECC season-high seven assists as part of a record 12-point performance versus the Lions, before two goals and two assists in the Griffins league victory over the Spartans.

For a matchup of future Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rivals, Chestnut Hill College traveled to Georgian Court University for Tuesday, April 11, afternoon's contest. The Scarlet and Gold proved to be the superior squad, capturing a 22-4 triumph over the Lions. Dambach set the program's all-time mark for assists (7) and points (12) while junior attack Dylan Klusaritz (Slatington, Pa.) rewrote the Griffin record books for goals in a game with his eight tallies. Dambach also recovered a ground ball and caused a turnover in the win.

On Saturday, April 15, Chestnut Hill College sent the 2017 senior class off with plenty of fanfare as several graduating Griffins made major roles in a 17-4 East Coast Conference (ECC) win over the visitors form STAC. Senior midfielder Andrew Dooley (Monroe Township, N.J.), senior attack Tanner Fisher (Port Coquitlam, British Columbia), and Dambach were chief among them, but junior attack Dylan Klusaritz (Slatington, Pa.) was the Scarlet and Gold’s leading scorer with four goals. Klusaritz recovered four ground balls to match his scoring, but Dooley recorded the most points for Chestnut Hill College with three goals and two assists. He also collected a ground ball. Fisher finished with three goals, an assist, and a ground ball, while Dambach delivered two goals, two assists, and three ground balls.

Chestnut Hill College plays next on Saturday, April 22, when they visit #4 the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) for an 11:00 a.m. ECC contest.
