Chestnut Hill College (6-10, 6-3) concluded their regular season home schedule for the 2017 season on Tuesday, April 18, with an evening contest versus local CACC rival, Philadelphia University. The contest was tight for the first five minutes, 2-2, but eventually went in the visitor’s favor as the Lady Rams gradually separating for an 8-4 halftime lead and an eventual 15-9 final. Freshman midfielder Spencer Fitzgerald (Huntingtown, Md.) led the Griffins with her second five-point (3 goals and 2 assists) game of the season. Senior goalkeeper Katie Joe Lang (Manassas, Va.) (5-7) surpassed Stephanie Jordan ’09 for the program’s all-time career saves mark (545) at 29:32 in the second half. Galantich offered a goal, an assist, four shots, a ground ball, and four draws to the Griffin effort.

Thursday, April 20, night’s non-conference action brought Chestnut Hill College to Molloy College, where the Lions defended their home field with a 19-10 victory over the Scarlet and Gold. The Griffin effort was balanced in defeat as four reported multiple points; senior midfielder Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) scored three goals, while senior attack Jacklyn O’Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Galantich offered two goals and an assist apiece.

Regular season play concluded at Nyack College, on Saturday, April 22, where Chestnut Hill College went on a high note with a 21-9 league win over the Warriors. Galantich was the star of the show, contributing a season-high eight points (3 goals and 5 assists) to the victory. After providing a goal and two assists in a 7-4 first-half advantage, Galantich helped the Griffins cement their position with two goals and three assists in the final 30 (30:00) minutes. She also recorded two ground balls in the affair.
