Fisher Finds Second CACC Weekly Honor Roll Recognition with 6th Place Finish at University of Delaware

New Haven, Conn. - (9/18/2017) – The Scarlet and Gold traveled to Newark, Delaware, for Saturday’s, September 16, races at the University of Delaware. Sophomore Zigmund Fisher (Chadds Ford, Pa.) headlined five Griffins who crossed the finish line among the top-33 of the men’s eight-kilometer (8K) run. He finished sixth (28:01.47) and Chestnut Hill College finished 4th of 10 teams with 87 total points. The performance earned him his second CACC Men’s Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll recognition of the season.

CACC rival, Wilmington University won the men’s 8K with 77 points, but graduate Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) took the individual crown with a run of 27:04.45. Fisher’s second straight top-10 run (6th, 28:01.47) was backed by a 10th (28:34.14) place run from sophomore Zack Bush (Aston, Pa.). Sophomores, Jake DiCello (Pottsville, Pa.) and Alex Lynch (Manchester, N.J.), and senior Adrian Calderon (Hacienda Heights, Calif.) scored the rest of the Griffins’ points; they respectively ran 25th (30:12.48), 32nd (31:02.02), and 33rd (31.04.01). Additionally, sophomore Frank MacGregor (Collegeville, Pa.) placed 44th (32:20.67), sophomore Jonathan Boc (Jersey City, N.J.) ran 46th (32:14.50), freshman Jason Dutt (Easton, Pa.) 65th (34:47.74), senior Ediegeo Vanterpool II (Clementon, N.J.) 69th (35:24.43), and junior James McKeith (Honey Brook, Pa.) 75th (36:06.89).
