Fuchs Named CSFL Special Team Player of the Week For Kicking Versus Mansfield University

West Point, N.Y. - (10/12/2017) â Sophomore kicker Dante Fuchs (Sinking Spring, Pa.) earned the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Special Teams Player of the Week award for his role in Chestnut Hill Collegeâs recent 30-18 victory at Mansfield University. Fuchs connected on four of his extra point attempts, averaged 31.3 yards (188 yards/6 punts) â placing three inside the Mountaineer 20-yard line, and averaged 59.0 yards per kickoff (295 yards/5 kickoffs). He is the Griffins first CSFL Weekly honoree of the 2017 season.

Sef Penson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the star of CSFL victory at Mansfield University as Chestnut Hill College received 96 of their 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns from their sophomore running back. Sophomore quarterback Michael Marino (Blue Bell, Pa.) completed 8-of-11 (72.7%) passes for 152 yards and a touchdown â an 11-yard scoring reception from sophomore wide receiver Domoree Hill (Bethlehem, Pa.) â that along with a safety, salted away the Mountaineers in the Griffinsâ first win of the season.

The Chestnut Hill College sprint football team continues their CSFL schedule on Friday, October 13, when they visit West Point, New York, for a 7:00 p.m. contest versus Army.
