Del Vecchio Draws ECC Women’s Bowling Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
West Babylon, N.Y. - (1/24/2018) – Freshman Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) finished 20th overall in the Kutztown University Invitational’s individual standings with a 210 average over five Traditional matches to garner a spot on the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women’s Bowling Weekly Honor Roll.
After a 0-4 start, Del Vecchio got Chestnut Hill College (22-29) going on the second day of competition with a personal-best and program-record 290 in a 974-947 loss to Norfolk State University. She then helped the Griffins to back-to-back wins over ranked opponents; 960-943 over #24 Monmouth University and 1,016-939 over #18 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, before providing a team-best 202 in an 822-726 win over Bethune Cookman University. On the third day of competition, Del Vecchio filled 79.4% of her frames in Bracket losses to Medaille College (4.5-.5), Morgan State University (4-1), and Howard University (4-3).
The Chestnut Hill College women’s bowling team will be back in action on Saturday, February 3, at Jay Lanes in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, for Kutztown University’s “Bowling For A Kure” event.
