Pitts Appears on CACC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
New Haven, Conn. – (11/26/2018) – In last Monday’s pre-Thanksgiving contest at West Chester University, the freshmen duo of guard Trevonn Pitts (Wyncote, Pa.) and forward Keyon Butler (Chester, Pa.) continued to shine for Chestnut Hill College as both scored 17 points in a 107-71 loss to the Golden Rams. The former, Pitts, paired his scoring with four rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal to earn a mention on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Honor Roll. This is the first CACC Men’s Basketball Weekly Report appearance of Pitts’ collegiate career.
West Chester University (1-2) hit 10 of 16 (10-of-16, .625) first half three point shots to present Chestnut Hill College (2-3) with what proved to be an insurmountable 65-27 halftime deficit. Eventually, the Golden Rams’ hot hand (24-of-45, .500 FG/12-of-26, .462 3PT/19-of-25, .760 FT) and rebounding advantage (50-21) earned them a 36-point edge. Pitts (5-of-10, .500) and Butler (6-of-10, .600) combined to hit 11 of Chestnut Hill College’s 21 (21-of-48, .438) field goals.
