Edelman Earns ECC Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
West Babylon, N.Y. - (3/20/2019) – Senior Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) led Chestnut Hill College to fifth place finish (5th of 6, 3W-5L, 1,703-2,687; 4,390 pins) at last weekend’s Northeast Season Ender with a .805 Fill Frame % and a .434 Strike percentage. For her effort, she was recognized on this week’s East Coast Conference (ECC) Women’s Bowling Honor Roll.
Chestnut Hill College (46-44) resided in fifth place (5th of 6, 1W-4L, 1,703 pins) after the first day of play of the Northeast Season Ender. In the first match, sophomore Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) and Edelman respectively scored a 238 and a 203 to lead the Griffins to a 934-759 victory over Norfolk State University; unfortunately, the Spartans won the baker portion 784-783. The Griffins also challenged #7 University of Maryland Eastern Shore (L, 834-1,147) and #8 Fairleigh Dickinson University (L, 919-1,073). During day two of the Northeast Season Ender, Chestnut Hill College grabbed two more wins as both sophomore Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) and Edelman filled 12-of-14 frames to lead the Griffins to a pair of victories over Norfolk State University (W, 4-3 and W, 4-2). Scimone led the Scarlet and Gold for the day, filling 83.3% of her frames, while Edelman and Del Vecchio each filled 80.6% of theirs.
