Career Game Garners Fitzgerald CACC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
New Haven, Conn. - (4/3/2019) – Junior midfielder Spencer Fitzgerald (Huntingtown, Md.) contributed a career-high eight goals, a ground ball, six draws, and three caused turnovers, to an 18-7 Chestnut Hill College victory over league rival, Post University on Saturday, March 30, to garner an appearance on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll.
Fitzgerald netted the first Chestnut Hill College (2-4, 1-0) goal of the contest at 28:11, 1-0. By the time she recorded her third goal (7-3, 15:13) of the opening half, the Scarlet and Gold had already separate for a 7-3 advantage over Post University (1-7, 0-2). Junior attack Dai Pearson (Pottstown, Pa.) then netted the next two Griffin goals (8-3, 10:46; 9-4, 2:55) before a fourth Fitzgerald tally (10-4, 1:41) ended the first-half scoring, 10-4. The second half mirrored the first as the Griffins logged eight more goals to pace the Eagles to an 18-7 final.
