Waleski Records in 1,500-Meter and 800-Meter Runs Earn CACC Weekly Honor Roll Reward

New Haven, Conn. - (4/4/2019) – A record pace (4:53.73) and fourth place finish in the 1,500-Meter from senior Erica Waleski (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was responsible for all six of Chestnut Hill College’s points in the women’s standings (25th of 29, 6 points) of the Danny Curran Invitational. She also recorded a record time (2:20.66) in the 800-Meter with a 10th place finish. The historic performance garnered Waleski a spot on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Track & Field Weekly Honor Roll.

Waleski was joined in her 800-Meter by senior Kelly Bradley (Philadelphia, Pa.), who placed 65th with her pace of 2:40.23. Chestnut Hill College also enjoyed top-50 finishes in the 400-Meter, 100-Meter, and 200-Meter, thanks to the efforts of freshmen Leica Augustin (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Brittany Kahhan (Philadelphia, Pa.). Augustin placed 50th (1:14.73) in the 400-Meter, while Kahhan ran 46th (14.06) in the 100-Meter. Both competed in the 200-Meter; the former ran 68th (28.84) and the latter 113th (32.39).
