Philadelphia, PA – (10/3/2009) – The Griffins scored three goals before the break and continued to control Dominican College in the second half to defeat the Chargers 3-1 in this afternoon's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest.

Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ ) scored her tenth goal of the season to give Chestnut Hill College (9-3, 6-2) a 1-0 lead at 22:37. A corner kick from junior midfielder
Tara Morey (Pittsgrove, NJ ) meet Riiff's head and landed the Griffins an early lead; they added to it 14 minutes later when freshman midfielder
Maggie Faselt (Newtown, NJ ) scored on a pass from freshman forward
Jordan Wagner (New Cumberland, PA ). The Griffin attack was persistent with five first half corner kicks; leading to a third goal before the half. Wagner scored on bang-bang play redirecting a strike from freshman midfielder
Amanda Botbyl (Mays Landing, NJ ) at 41:09.
Dominican College (5-3-2, 4-2-1) finally got to freshman goalkeeper
Jessica Veazey (Middletown, DE ) at 62:39 when junior midfielder
Margaret Porter (Neptune, N.J.) netted a goal on a direct kick restart. Veazey did earn the win and made five saves. Senior goalkeeper
Valentina Sturchio (Stewartsville, N.J.) made eight saves in the losing effort.
