Mark Pugliese (Philadelphia, PA) scored the game-winner on a direct kick restart to complete Chestnut Hill College's 3-2 comeback win over Philadelphia University. The Griffins finished their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season at 4-7 with final postseason seeding still in flux.
Philadelphia University (5-8, 3-6) held a 2-1 advantage after ending a 1-1 first half tie with a goal at 58:39, 2-1. Less than five minutes later (63:07), Reid scored a pass from sophomore defenseman
Chris Wilson (Willow Grove, PA) to bring the score even at 2-2. Six minutes (75:31) after that, Pugliese took advantage of a good situation by scoring on a direct kick opportunity for the win, 3-2. The goal decided an evenly played game, as the Rams held a slight advantage in shots, 12-10, and corner kicks, 7-6. Junior midfielder Sean Crossland (Birdsboro, PA) scored on a penalty kick at 19:21 and senior forward Alex Null (Lock Haven, PA) gave the Rams the lead with a score at 58:39. Rams freshman goalkeeper, Thomas Attamante (West Orange, NJ) made five saves in the loss.

The men's soccer team ends their 2011 regular season at home with a 6:30 p.m. contest against the University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown on Friday, October 28. During opening announcements, the Griffins will recognize their graduating class in annual Senior Day traditions.
