Box Score Lafayette Hill, PA – (10/5/2011) – Chestnut Hill College resumed their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule this evening with a home contest against Philadelphia University. The Lady Rams proved too much for the Griffins, taking a 1-0 halftime lead to a 2-0 victory by outshooting the home team 9-1 in the second half.
 
Junior forward Trisha Sileo (Islip, NY) dribbled into the Chestnut Hill College (5-6, 3-4) goal-box just past the 20-minute mark and grabbed Philadelphia University (9-1-1, 8-0-0) the 1-0 lead with the contest's first goal. The Griffins looked to even the contest before intermission, but despite a narrow 5-4 shot advantage the Lady Rams lead lasted until the break. Following intermission, momentum slowly went in the Lady Rams direction and at 58:05 they added a second goal, this one coming off the head of sophomore forward Kristen Furguson (Haddonfield, NJ), 2-0. Junior goalkeeper Kelli Kowalewski (Shamong, NJ) got the start for the Lady Rams and earned the win with three saves in the opening 58:06.
 
Senior forward Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) and sophomore midfielder Steph Litty (Marlton, NJ) led the Griffin effort with two shots apiece. Freshman goalkeeper Samantha Pauls (South Plainfield, NJ) made her first collegiate start for the Griffins; she totaled five saves in the loss (0-1).
 
The women's soccer team continues their CACC schedule with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Felician College on Saturday, October 8.
