Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) weaved her way through the Golden Falcon defense and scored her tenth goal of the season. The Griffins kept the Golden Falcons off the scoreboard and carried their lead to a 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory.
Shots were 16-10 in Felician College's (7-3-1, 6-2-0) favor, but corners were 8-4 Chestnut Hill College (6-6, 4-4) leaving the contest even for a majority of play. Just before the 80-minute mark (79:39), Riiff wove her way through two Golden Falcons defenders and beat junior goalkeeper Allie Couzo (Sayreville, NJ) to the upper right of the goal for a 1-0 Griffin lead. Jessica Veazey (Middletown, DE), the Griffins held off the Golden Falcons through final ten minutes of regulation to secure the 1-0 victory. Veazey made three saves and played a majority of the minutes to earn the win (6-5) share the shutout with freshman goalkeeper

The Golden Falcons best chance came on a shot off the crossbar in the 57
th minute by sophomore forward Alysia Arcona (Hackettstown, NJ), but the home team came away empty handed. Couzo made six saves in the loss.
The women's soccer team continues their CACC schedule at home on Wednesday, October 12, with a 7:00 p.m. contest against Dowling College.
