Box Score Waterbury, CT – (9/24/2011) – The Griffins matched Post University to a 1-1 halftime score, but the Eagles escaped the stalemate early in the second half to steal a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win from Chestnut Hill College. Freshman forward
Kevin Bushbeck (Philadelphia, PA) netted the Griffins lone goal with his first collegiate tally.
The CACC rivals recorded six shots and a goal apiece in the first half, as the Griffins engaged the Eagles is a highly competitive opening period. Post University (5-0-3, 3-0-0) got on the scoreboard first with freshman forward Gustavo Ferreira (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) scoring on a pass from junior forward Francis Eno (Powder Springs, GA) at 16:26. Over the next 20 minutes Chestnut Hill College (3-3-1, 2-1) fought back with everything they had and at 38:38 Bushbeck tied the affair on a feed from senior forward
Gavin Reid (Dundee, Scotland). The contest would remain even until intermission, but just 1:29 (46:29) into the second half senior midfielder Byron Garcia (Palmira Valley, Columbia) hooked up with junior forward Eltany Morias (Cape Verde Islands) for the Eagles game-winning goal. After grabbing the 2-1 advantage the Eagles continued to control play until the final buzzer, leading the Griffins in shots, 12-8, and corner kicks, 7-3.

Pat Steger (La Plata, MD) led the Griffins with eight shots and freshman goalkeeper
Dave Sullivan (Kutztown, PA) made four saves in the loss (0-2). Eagles junior goalkeeper Erol Reid (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) totaled five saves.
The men's soccer team plays their next CACC contest at Goldey-Beacom College; a 4:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, September 28.
