10/14/2012 1:20:00 PM

Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – (10/13/2012) – The first half went by scoreless in today's Central Atlantic Collegiate College (CACC) contest with the Chestnut Hill College suppressing several Post University assaults for the first 45 minutes. Unfortunately, they could not do the same in the second half as three Eagle goals dealt the Griffins defeat, 3-0. Atop the Griffin attack, sophomore forward Patrick Steger (La Plata, Md.) and junior forward Darryl Richarson Jr. (Washington Township, New Jersey) headlined the home team's scoring opportunities.

Junior defenseman Kevin Ipina (Danbury, Conn.) was the playmaker for the Post University, igniting their second half take-over with assists to freshman forward Raphael Moura (Danbury, Conn.) and junior forward Joe Baccielo (Stratford, Conn.). Ipina located Moura for a redirect at 47:34, 1-0, and less than ten minutes later (57:05) he found Baccielo at the top of the Chestnut Hill College (5-9-1, 3-5) goal box, 2-0. Another Eagle goal came late, when senior forward Eltany Morais (Cape Verde Islands) rebounded his own shot for a goal at 86:40, 3-0.

Without scoring, senior forward Francis Eno (Powder Springs, Ga.) topped the Eagle attack with five shots. In goal, sophomore Andre Lindsay (Clarendon, Jamaica) recorded three saves for the shutout victory.

Steger and Richardson were supported by additional offensive strikes from freshman defenseman Tristan Johns (Mamora, N.J.), junior midfielder Hernan Angulo (Lima, Peru), and a few others, but no Griffin found goal. Senior goalkeeper Michael Goldstein (Pennsauken, N.J.) made nine saves in the losing effort (2-3).

The men's soccer team plays their next CACC contest at Wilmington University on Tuesday, October 16. Kickoff is schedule for 3:30 p.m.
