Chestnut Hill College (2-3-1, 1-1) made better use of their opportunities on goal, holding Concordia College (NY) (1-5-1, 0-3-1) scoreless while recording three unassisted tallies despite a 15-14 shot deficit. The Griffins attacked first, but play evened out before Steger broke the silence at 40:16 by successfully deflecting a shot off a Clipper defenseman, 1-0. The Griffins wasted no time adding to their lead, as Wamulume scored the home team's second goal only 1:21 later, 2-0. After halftime, the Clippers forced the issue with an offensive barrage, but Sullivan and the Griffin defense denied them any accomplishment. A third Griffin goal came at 71:12; this one came off the foot of Richardson and buried the Clippers behind a 3-0 Griffin advantage. The lead would hold until the final horn to earn the Griffins their first conference win.
Junior midfielder Victor Ruiz (Gijon, Spain) led the Clipper effort with five shots while freshman goalkeeper Ruel Gordon (Savanna Del Mar, Jamaica) made four saves in the loss (1-4-1).
Richardson's four shots led the Griffins. Steger and Wamulume each took two shots. Sullivan earned his first collegiate shutout in his second win of the season (2-3-1).
