Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (9/13/2014) – Soaked by the passing showers, Chestnut Hill College once again took down a ranked Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival as junior midfielder Nicholas Jaffe (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had a foot in each of three Griffin goals that defeated #25 Post University in the season's home opener.

After a scoreless first half, Jaffe dominated the early second half action. He first found junior forward Juan Amaya (Cartagena, Columbia) with a serve to right wing at 64:22, 1-0, then scored two goals of his own with a rocket shot off a pass of junior midfielder Matthew Casaletto (Jewell, N.J.) at 69:08, 2-0, and magic corner kick that ricocheted off the side of the Post University (1-2, 0-1) goalkeeper at 75:45, 3-0.

The Eagles had the higher shot total with a 16-13 edge. Senior midfielder Mamadee Kamara led the effort with four attempts. Sophomore goalkeeper Serigne Baba Gaye (Centereach, N.Y.) took the loss (1-2) with four saves in the first 69:08. Fellow sophomore goalkeeper Jon Hanlon (Dekar, Senegal) made one save in the final 20:52.

Jaffe captained the Chestnut Hill College (1-2-1, 1-0-1) effort with five shots. His performance was complemented by three strikes from senior forward Channing Couillard (Atlantic Beach, Fla.), two apiece from sophomore defenseman Nils Fussen (Aachen, Germany) and Amaya, and one from freshman defenseman Joseph McGuigan (Philadelphia, Pa.). Sophomore goalkeeper James Jackson (Sewell, N.J.) (1-2-1) made seven saves in his first shutout win of the season.

The men's soccer team breaks from the CACC schedule on Tuesday, September 16, when they host Bloomsburg University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
