The Caldwell University (1-3-1, 1-1-0) offense peppered the Chestnut Hill College (1-4, 0-3) goal with shots, eventually breaking the Griffin defenses toward the latter half of the first period. DuMond fired the Griffins' only shot of the first half at 15:11, but the attempt was denied as senior goalkeeper Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, N.J.) (1-2) stopped the Scarlet and Gold missile. A well-placed cross from junior midfielder Shelagh Kerrisk (Keansburg, N.J.) found freshman midfielder Amber Raines (Millville, N.J.) for the contest's initial goal (1-0) at 38:12. The Cougars carried that 1-0 through halftime and only added to it in the second half with three more home scores securing their league win.
Sophomore forward Carolyn Salus (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) and sophomore midfielder Gianna Klucker (Tamins, Switzerland) each took three shots to headline the Cougars' 25-shot effort. Each scored a goal in the second half.

Meghan Guagenti (Pennsauken, N.J.) and freshman
Leah Peshkin (Haddon Heights, N.J.) shared time in goal. Guagenti (1-4) made eight saves in the opening 66 minutes before Peshkin stopped a pair of Cougar shots in the final 24 minutes.
The Chestnut Hill College women's soccer team meets their next league engagement at Bloomsburg University on Tuesday, September 17, when they play the Bears in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
