Box Score Lyndhurst, N.J. - (10/21/2017) – With a potential Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament bid on the line, the Chestnut Hill College women's soccer team visited Felician University for the final their final league game of the regular season. After a solid defensive effort and 78 minutes of scoreless soccer, it was an own goal that did the Griffins in as a play back to the goalkeeper ended in catastrophe (1-0 at 78:51). Felician University (5-9-1, 4-7) outshot Chestnut Hill College (3-12, 3-9) by a 6-3 margin in a competitive first half. The Griffins were the aggressor early, testing freshman goalkeeper Jamie Kazenmayer (Forked River, N.J.) with O'Toole, who put the first two Scarlet and Gold shots on goal (1:48, 16:19). The Golden Falcons pushed back, but nothing came of it as play moved to the second half. There, more Felician University pressure put Chestnut Hill College on their heels and while looking to clear the ball, a play back to the keeper cursed the Griffins at 78:51, 1-0. With 34 seconds remaining (89:46), junior defender Michelle Montefinese (Eatontown, N.J.) played senior forward Danielle Stoll (Wanaque, N.J.) for a breakaway goal, 2-0, that sealed the victory.
Stoll led Felician University with six shots and her closing strike. Junior midfielder Sami Lederle (Brick, N.J.) (4) and senior forward Amanda Nowak (Kolbuszowa, Poland) (3) also had multiple shots for the Golden Falcons. Kazenmayer made five saves in the win (5-9-1).
