Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/25/2017) – In their final home contest of the season, Chestnut Hill College was the losing party in a 3-0 final versus Roberts Wesleyan College. The Redhawks used a 21-6 first half shot advantage to gain control of the affair and added a second insurance goal early in the second half to secure the win.
Senior forward Mackenzie Kidder (Carthage, NY) dribbled from the right flank to the center of the box to give Roberts Wesleyan College (3-11-1) the initial advantage, 1-0 (5:52). Chestnut Hill College (3-13) reciprocated with a shot on from junior midfielder
Molly Sullivan (Pasco, Wash.) at 10:29, but the Redhawks resumed their pressure until an unfortunate handball in the box gave them a penalty kick at 28:15. Sophomore forward Taylor Rutland (Kent, N.Y.) converted the opportunity to push the Roberts Wesleyan College lead to 2-0.
Roberts Wesleyan College added weight to their advantage early in second half as Kidder scored her second goal of the afternoon with a dribbled and drive down the left flank at 53:37, 3-0. The Scarlet and Gold searched for a rally with drives from sophomore midfielder

Kidder led Roberts Wesleyan College, scoring her two goals on a team-high seven shots. Rutland, her sister, sophomore forward Maya Rutland (Kent, N.Y.) and senior forward Orla Martin (Mahopac, N.Y.) recorded five shots apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Brinkel (Rochester, N.Y) made six saves in the win (3-11-1).
