Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/3/2017) – During the week of April 3 through April 9, Chestnut Hill College will host a series of
"It's On Us" contests, where student-athletes will don teal shoe laces to raise awareness for sexual assault and sexual violence. In addition to wearing the colored laces, each Chestnut Hill College intercollegiate athletics program will take part in an informational session, focusing on identifying and intervening is situation that may end in sexual assault and/or sexual violence.
The "It's on Us" campaign emphasizes the importance of sexual violence awareness and encourages the College community to recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault, to identify situations in which sexual assault may occur, to intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given, and to create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
