Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (10/1/2019) – Chestnut Hill College fell 3-1 in its meeting with Jefferson on Tuesday night at Victory Field. The Rams scored three first-half goals to stay undefeated in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.

Jefferson (3-3, 3-0) got on the board in the seventh minute after a loose ball was poked home by freshman defender Payton Cole (Lumberton, N.J.). The Rams continued to pepper the goal with shots before finally tacking on a second goal off a corner kick, with sophomore defender Jacque Thornton (Ronks, Pa.) finishing off a scramble in the box less than midway through the first half. Jefferson made it 3-0 less than five minutes before the break thanks to the first tally of the season from freshman midfielder Devin Sullivan (West Deptford, N.J.).

Junior goalkeeper Paris Banks (Philadelphia, Pa.) kept Jefferson off the board in the second half for the Griffins (2-5, 0-4), making 10 saves in the period, including one on a penalty kick.. Sophomore forward Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa.) got Chestnut Hill on the board in the final minute of the game after heading home a corner kick from Senior forward Nicole Cahill (Glendora, N.J.).

The Rams tallied 40 shots in the win, including 21 attempts on goal. Freshman midfielder Grace Kenville (Cinnaminson, N.J.) led the team with five shots, three of which were on goal. Graduate goalkeeper Erin Tinneny (Collegeville, Pa.) made two saves to post her third win of the season.

Banks, playing the full 90 minutes for the first time this season, made a career-high 18 saves in the loss. Cahill's 90^th-minute assist earned her a fourth-straight game where she scored or assisted on a goal.
The Griffins are back in action for another CACC clash at noon on Saturday, Oct. 5 in Bronxville, N.Y. against Concordia College.
