Post University (15-16, 7-9) put Chestnut Hill College (13-19, 8-10) under a 5-0 spread in their first three at-bats of game two. The Griffins managed to cut into the Eagle lead in the bottom of the third inning with a leadoff walk to freshman right fielder
Victoria Grillo (Staten Island, N.Y.) and a two-run Winn home run, 5-2. Unfortunately, the Scarlet and Gold did not produce any further in the inning or capitalize on three Eagle errors in the remaining frames as the contest ended in the visitor's favor after six innings, 11-2.
The Eagles also led in game one, scoring twice in the first inning, 2-0. Chestnut Hill College cut their lead in half in the third inning thanks to a leadoff double from Grillo, a wild pitch, and a one-out single to left field from sophomore centerfielder
Devon Horner (Mt. Laurel, N.J.), 2-1. An inning later, the Griffins tied the contest with an Eagle error at first base, a hit batsman, a walk to Sauer, and a wild pitch, 2-2. Post University reclaimed the advantage in with a run in their next at-bat, 3-2, but again the Scarlet and Gold rallied, plating a sixth-inning tally with a solo shot from Riotte, 3-3. In the bottom of the seventh, Grillo gave the Griffins hope with her leadoff walk. She was replaced at first base on Winn's fielder's choice, but a walk to Horner, and a key passed ball set the scene for Messina's walk-off sacrifice, 4-3. Sophomore
Kaley Wise (Hamilton, N.J.) collected the win (8-7), but she combined with sophomore
Gabrielle Merryman (Sewell, N.J.), Heaton, and Irvin to hold Post University to two earned runs on seven hits and a walk.
