Andrey McIntyre scored two first half goals and
Lucho Narcisi added the game winner in the second half as the Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team earned a 3-2 win over Goldey-Beacom College in their final game of the 2021 season.
The Griffins finish the season with a 2-12-3 overall record and a 2-8-1 mark in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The Lightning finish at 3-14 overall and 1-10 in league play.
McIntyre's two goals, his seventh and eighth on the season give the freshman forward 18 points on the season, the most among rookie players within the conference. McIntyre's eight goals are also tops among rookie men's soccer players in the CACC.
A penalty shot in the 28
th minute by McIntyre tied the game at 1-1. Thirteen minutes later McIntyre put the Griffins ahead 2-1 taking a long pass from
Ariel Barreto and finessed it past the Lightning goalkeeper.
Goldey-Beacom tied the game at 2-2 in the 55
th minute on a penalty shot. Chestnut Hill soon broke the tie as  Narcisi took a cross via a corner kick by
Lucas de Sa and put a shot in from the side to give the Griffins a 3-2 lead which held up the rest of the way.
The Griffins outshot the Lightning in the match 11-7 (6-5 on goal) with McIntyre taking six of the 11 shots and putting three on net
Mahmoud Mahmoud earned the win in net, recording three saves.
