Bronxville, N.Y. - (5/2/2021) – Appearing in their eighth consecutive
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Tennis Championship, #2 Chestnut Hill College traveled to #1 Concordia College (NY) for the seventh title match between the Griffins and Clippers. The Clippers won the doubles point with wins in the third (6-1) and first (6-2) team flights. Afterwards, Concordia College scored second (6-2, 6-1), third (6-4, 6-4), and first (3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) singles points to defeat the Scarlet and Gold by a 4-0 final.

Junior
Gregory Joseph Kvint (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) and freshman
Mark Gladkyy (Franklinville, N.J.) were the first Griffins to fall to their Concordia College (NY) (12-0) counterparts as number three doubles ended in the Clippers' favor, 6-1. Not long after, juniors,
Tom Pitchley (London, England) and
Kiki Dagneaux (Saint-Gervasy, France) bowed out in the top team flight, 6-2. Freshmen,
João Sousa (Pontevedra, Spain) and
Domagoj Dugandzic (Stuttgart, Germany) were trailing 3-2 in the second flight when the round concluded.
With the doubles point in hand, Concordia College advanced their position with consecutive singles scores in the second (6-2, 6-1), third (6-4, 6-4), and first (3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) individual matches. Dagneaux, Kvint, and Pitchley correspondingly represented Chestnut Hill College (7-5) in those flights. The bottom three singles matches were left unfinished.
Kvint and Pitchley were recognized on the CACC Men's Tennis All-Tournament Team. Chestnut Hill College finishes the 2021 season with a 7-5 overall record and a 5-3 CACC standing.
