The Chestnut Hill college women's soccer team' season came to an end Sunday afternoon when the Griffins lost their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament quarterfinal match to top seed Jefferson University 4-1 at Ravenhill Field in Philadelphia.
The Griffins finish their season with a 5-9-2 overall record. Jefferson improves to 12-3-2.
Lauren Sullivan scored the Griffins' only goal on the afternoon, a free kick sent into the left corner of the net in the 52
nd minute, cutting the Rams' lead to 3-1 at the time.
Sullivan was one of three Griffins to record a shot on goal in the contest with her goal being CHC's first shot on net.Â
Rachel Apsley had a shot on goal in the 80
th minute and
Antonia Linus had one in the final minute of play.
Sophia Andreoli had one save in net for the Griffins.
For the game, the Rams outshot the Griffins 16-5 (5-3 on target).
The Rams advance to the conference semi finals held this upcoming weekend at the University of Bridgeport.
