The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team dropped their second straight match, falling to Kutztown University 5-2 Sunday afternoon at the CHC Tennis Courts in Philadelphia.
The Griffins fall to 2-3 on the season. Kutztown improves to 4-0.
Chestnut Hill grabbed their early lead by winning two of the three doubles contests to capture the doubles point. Ewan Brown and Pablo Cervera defeated Dang Nguyen and Henrique Rocha at #1 doubles, 6-4 and Alessio Lefebvre and Menno Raeymaekers earned a 7-5 win over Emmitt Robinson and Linus Vennekold at #3 doubles.
The Bears went on to win five of the six singles matches with Enzo Puppi scoring the Griffins' lone singles point. Puppi defeated Robinson 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 at #5 singles.
The men's tennis team returns to action for their final fall match of the season, traveling to face St. Thomas Aquinas college on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
