The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team took a break from conference play to face region powerhouse Queens College in Flushing, New York Monday afternoon, falling to the Knights 6-1.
The Griffins fall to 8-6 overall while the Knights improve to 10-6.
Queens won the first two doubles matches to clinch the doubles point to start the match. Chestnut Hill's #1 doubles team of

Noah Cutting  earned the only doubles win of the match, defeating Roni Rikkonen and Tim Andersson, 6-3.
Franquis also provided the Griffins with their only point of the day, winning his singles match at the number two slot.  After the Knights secured the match by winning the #4, #5 and #6 singles, Franquis defeated Cameron Henricy 6-3, 6-3 at #2.
Queens went on to win the final two singles matches in straight sets.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, when they host Dominican University. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
