The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team took on Queens College in a Division II regional contest Thursday night in Queens, New York, falling to the host Knights 7-0.
The Griffins are now 0-4-3 while Queens improves to 3-4.
The Knights scored four times in the first 20 minutes of the game and added three more goals in the second half. Harry Cooke led Queens with three goals while Miguel Soto Gonzalez added two.
The Griffins were outshot 19-5 (11-2) on net. Â Chestnut Hill's two shots on goal came in the second half, a bottom center kick from Amadeo Furano that was saved by QC goalkeeper Thanasis Shehadeh in the 55th minute and another bottom center shot saved by the QC keeper by Daviont Baker-Alston in the 75th minute.
Connor McGrogan took the loss in net for the Griffins and recorded four saves.
The men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 when they host Jefferson University at victory field in Lafayette Hill. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
