Chargers Defeat Griffins in Men's Soccer Action

The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team  dropped a key Central Atlantic Collegiate conference contest Saturday afternoon, losing to Dominican University 2-1 at O'Brien Field in Orangeburg, New York.

The Griffins fall to 6-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in CACC matches.  The Chargers improve to 2-6-3 overall and 2-3-1 in league play.

Robert Keegan scored the only goal for the Griffins taking a pass from Milan Umeoka and putting the ball into the left side of the net in the 85th minute to pull the Griffins within one. Chestnut Hill had one more shot in the final five minutes but Luke Bodziak's attempt in the 88th minute went wide.

Rodrigo Artiga made four saves as the Griffins goalkeeper.

The Chargers scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead with goals in the 8th and 32nd minutes.

Statistically, both teams finished with 13 total shots with the Griffins putting four on goal and the Chargers six.  In addition to Keegan's goal the Griffins got shots on goal from Andres Gomez, Guillermo Rodriguez and Dane Bodziak.

The men's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 when they travel to play the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.  Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
